Scarlet Letter
Our exchange student from Denmark had his first day of school today. His junior English class is going start reading The Scarlet Letter. Way to kill a teen's desire to read, local High School! We feel sorry for the kid and recommended the Cliff notes.
On the other hand, we had a lively dinner table discussion on misogyny and if this was the worst book ever written and what other contenders for that title also claimed to be great literature.
