High on promise, low on delivery. Everything goes just a bit too smooth. Will takes everything in stride. Everything gets wrapped up neatly with a bow on top. Lots of telling ,little showing. The closest Will comes to communicating the feelings of being in relationship to the reader is his missing John when he's gone for a few weeks. That he is in a relationship with a guy doesn't seem to faze him, even though he's been happily married and this was not a time and place where homosexuality was accepted. Disappointed.
